Car rigging on set

Car Rigging Package

Advanced Vehicle Rigging
& Motion Solutions

Every great car shot starts with planning — not with the rig.

Professional rigging services, camera mounts and motion solutions for cars, motorcycles and specialty vehicles — built for commercials, music videos, narrative film and branded content. Our job is to make sure the shot you imagined is executed safely, stably, and on budget.

How it works

To guarantee zero surprises on set, we work to a clear process. Below you'll find every technical, logistical and creative detail we need from you to get moving.

🛠️ What's included

Technical Consult & Planning

Breaking down the shot, choosing anchor points and validating feasibility before we step on set.

Rigging & Safety

Professional suction mounts, arms and double-safety on every camera — no shortcuts.

On Set

Setup, strike and a dedicated Key Rigger with you for the entire shoot day.

📋 Production requirements

So we arrive ready — production's responsibility

The following details are critical for rigging design, safety planning and a smooth shoot day.

1

The Picture Car

Production is responsible for sourcing the picture car in advance.

We'll need to confirm the make/model, the condition of the roof and bodywork, available attachment points and load limits. Not every car can take every rig.

2

Safety envelope & logistics — support vehicles

Tracking / Lead Car: for moving shots we strongly recommend (and often require) a tracking vehicle for crew, traffic management and gear transport.

Safety / Blocking Car: open roads or higher speeds may require an additional safety vehicle. We'll define what's needed together after reviewing the location.

3

Location & route information

  • Exact address or planned route
  • Recent photos / video of the road and surroundings
  • Expected driving speed and length of the shot

For complex setups we'll recommend a tech scout in advance.

4

Frame & lens spec

Most important

The rig is driven directly by the shot. A small change in speed or distance changes the gear we need to bring.

Wide Shot

Flexible — allows tighter, simpler rigs.

Medium Shot

Requires precise control of distance and framing to the car.

Close-Up

Demands premium isolation and stability — every vibration is visible.

What we need: Target distance from subject, desired lens height, and lens type (focal length).

⚙️ Specialty gear & motion systems

The base package

Covers fixed rigs (Fixed Rig / Exterior Rig). Advanced motion systems are added on demand and quoted separately.

Optional add-ons

  • Camera arms & jibs (Jib Arms / Crane Systems)
  • Vehicle Mounted Arms (powered)
  • Stabilized Heads

📝 Ready to start?

Pre-inquiry checklist

To turn around a fast, accurate quote, please prepare:

  • Visual reference / storyboard for the shot
  • Photos of the picture car (ideally from multiple angles)
  • Planned location and approximate driving speed
  • Desired frame size and lens
  • Estimated shoot date and times

💡 Not sure what you need?

Don't guess.

Send us a storyboard or reference and we'll help you figure out whether you need a simple rig, a dedicated camera car, an arm or another creative solution — and save time and budget on the shoot day.
